We are aware that you place your trust in us. We therefore see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. On this page we let you know what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect this information and how we use it to improve your user experience. This way you understand exactly how we work. 

This privacy policy applies to the services of Decofoodshop. 

Whose personal data do we process:

– Website visitors – Our customers and relations – Persons whose data we process on the basis of an agreement – Contact persons of suppliers, clients and third parties with whom we work – Persons who contact us with questions or interest. 

Recipients of your personal data:

– Our suppliers if this is necessary for the delivery of what you have ordered 

product – Third parties when this is necessary and where this arises from an agreement, on the basis of permission or on the basis of the law, such as a parcel deliverer. 

From whom do we receive personal data:

We mainly receive personal data from you when you place an order and fill in your details on the order form. If you do not provide this information, we will not be able to process your order and deliver it to you. It may also be possible that a client/supplier/third party provides your personal data, for example if you accept a package for someone else and this person has provided your address details. 

Purposes and processing of personal data:

1. When you contact us, place an order or change your account, your and surname, company name, address details, e-mail address, telephone number and IP address are processed so that your order or question can be processed.
2. If you are the contact person of an organization, your first and last name, telephone number, e-mail address will be used so that we can contact you and execute the agreement.
3. If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your name and e-mail address to personalize the newsletter and send it to you by e-mail. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can find out how to do this at the bottom of the newsletter.
4. When you create an account for our webshop, in addition to the data mentioned under point 1 and/or 2, we also process your username and the password you have set. We treat this confidentially.
5. Via Cookies, Google Analytics or Google Ads and similar we can check what visitors do on our website. This way we can improve our website and services and respond more to the wishes of our customers and visitors. For this we process data about your visited pages, your clicking and surfing behavior and the duration of your session.
6. To make our website work as optimally as possible, the web server registers error messages when logging in or error messages when using the webshop your IP address, the operating system and the browser you use. This optimizes the website and fixes and prevents errors.
7. We are active on social media. If you contact us via social media, we may process your name, email address or social ID so that we can contact you and answer your question.
8. For administration and invoicing we can process data of a contact person and possibly address data of a contact person.
9. We process payment data so that we can process your payments in our administration.
10. Your data can be used for promotional and marketing purposes and, if necessary, provided to a third party.
11. No more personal data is collected than necessary in the context of the stated purposes. If the data is not kept for those purposes, we can still keep the data for archival purposes or in connection with legal matters and limitation periods.

Data retention: 

Decofoodshop stores personal data during the service, or as long as necessary for other purposes. The personal data can be kept after the end of the agreement in connection with fiscal retention periods (administration 7 years), legal expiry periods (submission of claims within a certain period) or because you have an account with us and will place orders in the future . 

Third parties: 

Your personal data will not be sold or rented to third parties without your permission, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, such as providing your address details to the parcel deliverer. In some cases the information can be shared internally. Our employees are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data. 

To carry out payment traffic between our customers and Decofoodshop, we work together with payment service providers who take care of a large part of our payments, including Mollie.com. We only provide this party with the data that is necessary for the execution of the agreement and the administrative processing of your payment. We also work together with Postmark for correspondence with our customers. 

Security: 

Decofoodshop takes sufficient technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing. These measures provide an appropriate level of security in view of the specific risks associated with the processing and the nature of the data to be protected, taking into account the state of the art and the costs of implementation. The measures are also aimed at preventing unnecessary collection and further processing of personal data. 

Your rights: 

On request, you can inspect the personal data, request that it be removed, modified, destroyed or limited. You can also withdraw your consent to provide your data to third parties. We must implement your request as soon as possible, but at the latest within 30 days. 

You can object to the use of your personal data if this data is used for purposes other than those agreed or stated in this policy. You also have the right to submit a complaint to us or to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Amendments:

Our privacy policy may change if new developments give cause to do so. You will always find the most current policy on our website.
